Oh man. That’s terrible. I know Sizemore has had more than his share of trouble over the years but I’ve always liked him and thought he was a decent actor.

The same happened to an aunt of mine. She recovered. Hopefully he will too.

I just watched both Strange Days and Heat last week, so he's been top of mind. Best wishes to him.

I always appreciated David Lynch casting him in the Twin Peaks return, despite him becoming casting "poison" due to his various issues, legal and otherwise.

Yeah, he was great in Twin Peaks. It was weird seeing both Sizemore and Belushi in it but they were both great.

He had Heidi Fleiss. I will always envy him for that.

I seem to recall Spielberg doing the same with Saving Private Ryan. They made him take daily UAs to ensure he was clean during filming. You have to believe in someone’s acting ability to take a chance like that on a big budget production.

Hope he pulls through.

He had that VH1 reality series Shooting Sizemore which was sad.

His role in True Romance, among others, is my favorite.

In the 90s I watched the movie countless times on VHS.
I liked Sizemore the most in Heat, Saving Private Ryan and Black Hawk Down. Basically the same part, but he was perfect in it.
By best friend's cousin had an aneurysm and now is basically Guy Pearce in Memento, without the killing part. He doesn't reboot every 15 minutes, but he bareley remembers the day before and that's going on for 10 years.

Fun Peter Hyams film. Stan Winston creature design. Penelope Ann Miller stars, as well.

Based on the 1995 novel Relic by Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child, which itself was a fun read. I saw the movie first, so I was surprised to find that the book features Aloysius X. L. Pendergast, an FBI Special Agent who is a frequent protagonist of many of Perston/Child's novels, as a major supporting character.

re: Tom Sizemore hospitalized in critical condition [Update: Dead at 61]

I’ve always liked him as an actor. He was on the talk show I used to produce years ago and was in pretty rough shape then. Turned it on for the cameras though but backstage was a different story - we had to haul him out of his chair.

That said, he was nice in person and I feel for him and his family.

Wow I looked at Sizemore’s IMDb and he hadn’t worked on an actual studio movie in close to 20 years. He’s done mostly TV, Small movies and DTV trash. And he has multiple DTV movies set to come out.

Sad that his career and health took a downfall.

Sad end. Only watched him in a few things over the years like Heat and Saving Private Ryan. Was fun seeing him in Twin Peaks: The Return where he was given more range.
